For over 50 years, The Open Door in Indiana, Pennsylvania, has been helping individuals with counseling and behavioral health conditions find hope, courage, and recovery. Originally a volunteer crisis hotline founded in 1972, it has grown into a licensed facility serving 500 individuals monthly. Our experienced clinicians are dedicated to supporting the community in achieving wellness and personal success.
Offers confidential peer support connections for LGBT youth, adults and seniors, including phone, text and online chat.
A support network for LGBTQ youth providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention, including a 24-hour text line (text “START” to 678678).
Delivers educational and support resources for LGBTQ individuals, as well as promotes competency on LGBTQ issues for counseling professionals.
